Social Pariah

In The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby or James Gatz felt like he wasn't good enough because he didn't have upper-class status and wealth. When he did obtain the wealth, he was still treated as a pariah, or outcast, because he would "never fit in". In every person's life there is a time he/she has felt discriminated against by creed, religion, gender, looks, or for any other reason.
